The CPRE Hampshire Countryside Awards celebrate our beautiful, diverse and thriving countryside and those who help to cherish, support and sustain it.

Whether it’s a small-scale community initiative or a large-scale enterprise, the CPRE Hampshire Countryside Awards shine a spotlight on the remarkable individuals and organisations that help the Hampshire countryside to thrive.

There are four award categories in the 2024 CPRE Hampshire Countryside Awards:

The Hampshire Grassroots Action Award
The Hampshire Projects in Protected Landscapes Award
The Hampshire Climate Action Award
The Hampshire Countryside Health & Wellbeing award

These awards celebrate those who support our mission to promote, enhance and protect a thriving Hampshire countryside that enriches all our lives. In doing so they;

Raise awareness of the Hampshire countryside as a vital space for health and well-being
Celebrate and support businesses that safeguard the countryside
Address issues affecting the countryside
Shine a spotlight on those tackling the climate crisis

By highlighting these exemplary efforts, the awards celebrate the passion and commitment of those who take action and make a positive impact on their local environment so that the countryside can flourish for the benefit of people and planet.

How to enter

Many thanks to everyone who has entered the CPRE Hampshire Countryside Awards for 2024. Entries are now closed.

Hampshire Choice Award

Voting is now open for the Hampshire Choice Award, giving you an opportunity to vote for your favourite countryside project. The overall winner will be announced at our Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 10th December 2024 at King’s Somborne Village Hall.

Hampshire Grassroots Action Award, sponsored by Vitacress

Have you made efforts to support the countryside in your community? Share your grassroots project addressing environmental issues like energy, litter, pollution, or climate change.

Hampshire Projects in Protected Landscapes Award, sponsored by Terrafirma

Are you passionate about the protected landscapes in Hampshire? We want to celebrate any project big or small working to protect these amazing spaces.

Hampshire Climate Action Award, sponsored by Hastoe Housing

Are you a local group taking action to tackle the climate crisis, for example through energy audits, tree planting or innovation projects? We want to hear how you’re rising to this challenge.

Hampshire Countryside Health & Wellbeing in Nature Award

Are you working on a project in Hampshire that highlights the positive impact of accessing and utilising the countryside on mental and physical wellbeing?

Hampshire Choice Award

Once the winner and runner-up of each category is selected, they will automatically be entered into the 'Hampshire Choice Award'. The public will then be invited to vote on this award.

Congratulations go to the winners and finalists of the 17th Annual CPRE Hampshire Countryside Awards, announced at a special ceremony attended by over 60 guests at the Kings Somborne Village Hall on 12th December 2023.
